   Integrated Communication and Information System is a network designed for secure, high-speed, reliable and cost-effective data and voice transmission.Integrated data and voice transmission is provided by using the digital technology.

   System is composed of; Local Area Network, Structured Cabling and Wide Area Network. Digital and analog phones can reach the entire network through PABX’s which are connected to routers, so that users can benefit from all priviliges of the digital technology.


   For users to reach the system in buildings, CAT5e or more advanced categories of UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) or STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) cables which are terminated at the sockets at the user side, and at the patch panels at the system side are used. Both data and voice facilities are provided to the user on the same socket. These arrangements are coordinated at the patch panels with patch cords.
   In wide area network connections, customer can choose the most appropriate protocol for his/her needs which can be X.25, ATM, Frame Relay or HDLC, and routers or switching equipments are used that are suitable for the chosen protocol. Ethernet card is used for the connection of Local Area Network to the router, and E1 card is used for the link between PABX and the router. For the WAN connections digital or analog modems are selected which are proper to the chosen protocol.
